Account Manager for Preclinical R&D (m/f) Austria, Switzerland, CEE (with focus on Poland, Czech, Hungary) and Israel - Homebased within the territory or adjacent (i.e. southern/ eastern part of Germany)

European sales and marketing organization of a leading global services and product provider in preclinical and clinical R&D
 
The position is homebased within the territory or the adjacent area (i.e., the southern or eastern part of Germany).
 
Main responsibilities:
  • Foster, grow and develop a comprehensive service and product portfolio in the assigned territory within the targeted segment of pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies (with focus on R&D activities in safety, toxicology and discovery)
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
  • Maintain well-structured, goal-oriented interaction and communication with customers, internal groups, global laboratories and service providers
  • Plan and achieve sales targets
  • Act as the key contact for customers for their current projects and support short-, mid- and long-term project management for future projects
  • Develop and implement new sales and business strategies and tactics addressing both new and existing services and products
  • Review, monitor, measure and report progress
  • Evaluate and redefine plans based on area results and customer feedback
Requirements:
  • Academic degree (BSc or higher) in life sciences or similar field, with further education and/or professional experience supporting the chosen career path
  • Proven and successful track record in sales or service industry
  • Very good communication and teamwork skills and an ability to develop strong professional relationships with customers, vendors and co-workers at all levels
  • Good project management skills, and excellent analytical and organizational skills
  • Willingness to travel and general flexibility
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills in English
Experience in safety and/or toxicology and German language skills would be an advantage.
